HMMM... I have roughly listed down many possible pros and cons for using different types of search engines. (will further edit later:) )

INVISIBLE WEB(DATABASES)

-provide One-Of-A-Kind article which gives unique perspective/ overview of a certain topic.

-Don't have to find and compiled all the datas I've found as most of the thing that has been written are all there.

-It is written by specialists who are expertised in a certain field or authors who have written many books or even some documents that are published by the government itself.This serves as a credible tool as it is already ensure trustworthiness -not just another tom, dick and harry.

-Databases are human compiled, so the search results has been "check or examine" by people who knows something about that certain topic.

-more inclined in aiming to provide the factual or correct information.

SEARCH ENGINES, META-SEARCH, SUBJECT DIRECTORIES

-have many choices from many views, which might not be as credible as they are ambiguous to one another.

- will only get a portion of the information needed after a thorough search, so it is a little time consuming.

-some articles might be written by any random person who might not know that much in a ceratin field as some of the websites did not even credited.

-Subject directories might be more credible as it is human compiled, but it only shows one side of the answers needed for the topic.

-Each of the portal serves not only for information but to advocate, news ,marketing and even for personal purposes. However, this type of information might be important as it might help to agree/second a stand or prove something in some parts of the article.

Since databases are more trustworthy as compared to other types search engines,

-as it is the fastest way to get info, accesible, efficient.(don't need to beat around the bushes, to get to a certain point.)

-the information are able to be trusted as citation and bibliography are stated in the article itself.
-Give information on where to get the articles from as they provide document code.
